The Swordtember is a challenge held in September each year requiring to create a sword each day of the month. A prompt list of theme associate each day with a word and you must create a sword inspired by this word. 

Initially an artist challenge, I modified some rules to make it a Game Design challenge, thus needing to include a short description and properties for a given game or type of game. Creating a sword a day, 30 a month, help a lot with content design, describing items with short description is also a good skill to improve and create this much properties help with creativity to not be redundant but also balancing since all sword are part of the same (type of) game.

Here are my rules : 

  1. You have to create one "sword" per day, following the theme of the day.
  2. You may not be able to do this one day. Make it later : do not skip a day. You need to do 30 swords by the end of the month.
  3. Sword visual must be sketched or generated to give intentions.
  4. Each sword should have a short description (200 characters).
  5. Each sword should have a special property or stat block fitting a given genre (Tactical, Adventure, Hack&Slashs, TTRPG). Define it at the start of the challenge.
  6. No more than 1 hour per sword.
